Hola Another week in Spain, gone!!  The weather has finally improved, and I even have a sunburn on my face!!  this week, I took a day trip to Ganada to visit the ancient Alhambra.  This was of great importance to the history of Spain--dating back to the 1200's.  This is the castle where Ferdinand and Isabella granted the money for Columbus to do his exploration--you could almost feel their presence as we walked through it!!  This is the most visited site in Spain, with over 8,000 visitors daily!! I met some lovely ladies too--4 of the them were celebrating 50 years of friendship--they all started with the British Foreign Service--I just had to ask if they knew 007 (ha, ha!!) Hola What a week it has been.  The weather has finally warmed up--thank goodness--so each day has not only been an adventure, but an adventure is the sunshine!!  The family has done everything to show me the traditional Spanish hospitality. This week they took me hiking, biking and out to family gatherings!!  Yesterday, I took a day trip to Tangiers--now that was something--travelling across the straight of Gilbralter!!  I wish that I had opted for the 3 day trip which would have taken me to Casablanca--but instead, I decided to have only a taste--as I am still bound for Gilbralter, Ronda and Grenada. Rock of Gilbralter--we crossed the straight of Gilbralter to visit Tangiers--it was about an hour crossing on a ferry.  It was quite a rough ride. wall around the city of Tangiers built in 1200 herbal medicine show in Tangiers Yes, the you know what!!
